.
Welcome to this weblog on making new tools from old and
sending .them to places where improvements can be made.
The main action takes place in Ross-on-Wye in the UK West Midlands. As you progress through the website, you will see that "action" is a generous word.
.
If this is your first visit we suggest that you explore the site before you click the "latest news" link at the top on the left.
.
Tools that have been hidden in local sheds and cupboards for too long are collected, refurbished and sent to Tanzania. The local project has plenty of tools that need attention before they can contribute to the life of a community far away.

When you come out of Morrison’s and head for the Larruperz Centre, on the left there is a small brick building labelled “Tool Drop-off Point”. There is a picture via the "March 2010" link on the left top of this page.
The residents of the Ross district have been bringing their unused saws and chisels etc and now we need to make them into tools that change.
They will change into bright, sharp, useful, motivating implements. They will change the lives of those less fortunate than us. With your help, the tools will start to change in this little building.

The Ross Team is very small and the pile of tools is large. Why not come along and see if you can help? There are contact details later on this page.

A special message to five local men - men who are one in a thousand!
There's about 5000 men in the Ross area . You could be one of the five fellows we are looking for. Whatever your age – you are needed. Of course, womenfolk handy in the shed or workshop at home are always welcome and might like to help with the small amount of admin.

You need not commit yourself to a fixed time in the week or month - just come and see us and find out more.

The Ross Tools for Africa Team will be pleased to see you even if you do not want to help. Come and see some of the tools for sale. Lots of tools we receive such as grass cutters are not used out there and are sold to help pay the shipping costs.

If you can help or would like more information, please ring the Enviro-ability office - 01989 763388 or email info@enviroability.org.uk

If you would like to see and buy some of the tools please use the same contacts.

See you soon?
